Terms of Membership
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS THROUGH USE
By using the Navy Moms Organization (NMO) Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum, you signify your agreement to all terms, conditions, and notices contained or referenced herein (the "Terms of Use"). If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please do not use the NMO Website and/or the Delphi Forum.
By using the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum, you agree to familiarize yourself with these Terms of Use, and to periodically review them.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You must fall into one of the following categories to be eligible to join NMO and use it’s Delphi Forum;
- Any family member of a US Sailor currently in active duty, DEP program, in reserves, or honorably discharged (i.e.. parent, stepparent, foster parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, adult sibling)
- A past or present US Sailor: currently enlisted, active reserves, retired, honorably discharged or currently enlisted in the DEP program
By using the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum, you agree that the information you provide to NMO is current and accurate. It is your responsibility to forward all changes in your information to NMO as soon as possible after they occur. NMO requires that you provide your legal name and truthful information upon joining. Verification of the information you provide may be done via telephone by one of the NMO Security Committee. Please be sure you include your correct HOME telephone number on the submission form, without proper verification, your membership application may be delayed or denied.
NMO reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone if the information provided is false or incorrect.
It is also your responsibility to protect your password to the NMO Delphi Forum. You agree not to reveal your password to other users and you agree to indemnify and hold NMO harmless for any improper or illegal use of NMO and/or it’s Delphi forum. This includes illegal or improper use by someone to whom you have given permission to use your password.
3. DUES
NMO has a $10.00 annual membership fee, payable within two weeks of joining and renewable thereafter during the month of your anniversary date each year. Initial payment will be necessary within 2 weeks of registration to NMO in order to gain access to NMO forums.
Failure to be current with dues payments may result in the suspension of your privileges to access secure areas of our community.
NMO is a Social Club and uses the dues money for various projects such as a Sunshine Fund, an annual charity project to benefit sailors and to maintain this website.
**NMO does not provide refunds of dues money for any reason.
4. AGREEMENT TO RULES OF CONDUCT
By using the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum, you agree to abide by the Rules of User Conduct, and not use the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum for any unlawful purpose.
You acknowledge that NMO reserves the right at all times to disclose any information concerning your use of the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum to comply with valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order.
**You agree to keep all information obtained by your participation in NMO as private and never to share this information with anyone outside NMO.
5. THIRD PARTY SITES
The NMO Website and NMO Delphi Forum may contain several third party links that are not under the control of NMO. In addition, other third party sites may contain information or material that some people may find inappropriate or offensive. You acknowledge that NMO is not responsible for the accuracy, copyright compliance, legality, decency, privacy policy, privacy practices, or any other aspect of third-party sites. You further agree that NMO is not liable for any damages or harm arising from your use (or inability to use) the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum or other third-party sites.
The fact that third party links may appear on the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum does not imply endorsement of the site by NMO or any association with its operators.
6. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
You acknowledge and agree that all content and materials available on the NMO Website and/or the NMO Delphi Forum are protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights and laws. Except as expressly authorized by NMO, you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit, or create derivative works from such materials or content. Notwithstanding the above, you may print or download one copy of the materials or content on the NMO Website and Delphi Forum on any single computer for your personal, noncommercial use.
Reproduction, copying, or redistribution for commercial purposes of any materials or design elements on the NMO Website and/or the NMO Delphi Forum is strictly prohibited without the express permission of NMO.
It is acknowledged that NMO, it's membership and it's representatives shall not be held liable or accountable (legally or financially) for any claims against it's Sponsors of NMO, it's membership and it's representatives have no financial or legal interest, stake, claim or involvement with of these entities. Any and all members or representatives of NMO shall not be held liable for any action taken in the business of the Social Group known as NMO.
7. INDEMNIFICATION
Upon a request by NMO, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the NMO Website and it’s volunteers of all liabilities, claims, and expenses, including attorney's fees, that arise from your use or misuse or misinterpretation of the content of the NMO Website and/or it’s Delphi Forum. You also agree to hold harmless any and all members of NMO for anything that may occur on the forum or in the performance of the business of the Social Group known as NMO.
NMO can not control the content of emails from members of this group. At times, you may receive emails or view posts with disturbing or unsettling content; at which time each member must make the personal choice to delete such emails. The moderator of this group shall NOT interfere with PRIVATE emails unless a member repeatedly sends disturbing emails which the content violates the Terms of Membership as outlined, defined and posted above. The DELPHI site is provided as a venue to share with other NMO members and we encourage all members to utilize the Delphi message board. For security purposes, MASS emailing to NMO members are discouraged in most cases but NOT prohibited. Posting information which risks the safety of our sailors, their families or any member of NMO is prohibited. (I.e.. private addresses, specific locations of sailors or their vessels, porting times, other than information provided for homecomings.)
8. DISCIPLINARY ACTION
NMO reserves the right, to accept or deny any application for membership. We also reserve the right to suspend your access to all or part of the NMO Website and the NMO Delphi Forum with prior notice. Please note that such suspension will only occur in such cases that you deliberately use slanderous, bigoted, vulgar or otherwise offensive or harmful action or actions toward another member. Also note that such suspension will only be taken after prior notification and only after all other avenues have been exhausted.
