Navy Moms Organization
Mission Statement

Navy Moms Organization was founded to offer support to the families of Sailors serving in the United States Navy as well as the sailors themselves. Chat rooms and message boards are available to give our members an opportunity to share with each other. Questions are answered, fears discussed and achievements celebrated. NMO is a not for profit, private Social Club.

The one thing we have in common is the love for our Sailors. They come in all shapes and sizes, departments and divisions, and are in various stages of their Navy career. Some are preparing for their new journey, some are anxious new recruits and others shall soon depart the Navy. Neither rank nor rate knows any barrier among us.

The primary purpose of this group is to be a network of information and support, providing a connection and understanding during the good times as well as the bad. There are parents who can guide and comfort the families of new recruits through all phases of boot camp right up to celebrating on Pass In Review day. Many parents of forward deployed Sailors find comfort within this small bit of cyberspace until the day they stand on the pier waving as their Sailor returns on Homecoming Day.

Our Sailors receive birthday cards, congratulations and words of cheer from proud supporters across the country. If a Sailor needs help, it is just a telephone call away because we truly support each other's children. A Sailor will never spend a holiday alone because one of us will always have an open door. As Sailors arrive in the Fleet, we share our knowledge of what to anticipate during deployments and sea trials, and all other times they are at sea. Suggestions for care packages, links to information, and explanations of ship communications are given, as well as definitions of basic Navy terminology. There is no question that cannot be answered by a parent, or a Sailor!

Parents are always proud of their children regardless of what they do in life. However, you will find an uncommon pride among us, not only for our own Sailor, but also for the entire Navy Fleet. We wear our hearts on our sleeves, filled with pride and patriotism. If you are a Navy parent or know of another Navy family member needing support, please join our group. Any man who may be asked…
What he did to make his life worthwhile…
Can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction,
"I served in the United States Navy."
