The History of Navy Moms Organization

Navy Moms Organization was started to provide the most current and accurate information as well as personalized support to Navy families, sailors on active duty, DEP preparing for active duty in the United States Navy, retired Navy & Honorably discharged sailors.

Today our sailors receive birthday cards, congratulations and words of cheer from Navy Families all across the US. Our sailors know they have someone just a call away if they need help--our families truly support each other.

Navy Moms Organization will always be adding new members as sailors enter boot camp or moms "find us" through the media or internet. To each of you who wishes to join Navy Moms Organization, we say "WELCOME ABOARD!"
A Few Rules for Safety
NMO attempts to provide it's membership with the highest possible security.
There are a few rules that we should all follow when communicating via the internet.

• Never use any persons FULL name, either members of NMO or the sailors.

• Never disclose the exact location of ANY Naval Vessel other than its Home Port.

• Never be specific as to the whereabouts of our sailors or ships.

• Never disclose porting times, dates, or specific information regarding ships porting in locations outside US ports. Posts or emails (to the group) which contain this type of information places our sailors and their families in DANGER.

• SPAM mail of any type is prohibited.

• Slanderous statements, or unkind responses directed toward individual members is prohibited. Please remember we are a Navy Family and exercise kindness and compassion to fellow members.

• Before you post any information or pass along information through email to NMO members, please verify that the information is factual. Rumor can cause more harm than good in the long run.

NMO CAN NOT be a locator service but we will offer assistance or direction in any way possible. We MUST protect the privacy of our sailors as well as our members with the highest possible security measures.

NEVER share information related to our members or sailors with anyone outside the NMO membership! To do so risks the privacy and security of this group and the sailors it represents.
